Chase Minnifield is probably the top zone corner in this draft. He would be a great asset for a team like Pittsburgh and their zone blitz as he has tons of experience playing in a zone and has proven to be a ballhawk at the college level. Minnifield is a better pro prospect than former teammates Chris Cook (34th overall selection in the 2010 draft) and Ras-I Dowling (33rd overall selection in the 2011 draft). He is the son of former Browns great Frank Minnifield. Frank was a four-time Pro Bowler, playing for the Browns from 1984-1992 and was named to the 80s All Decade team. Frank and fellow CB Hanford Dixon are responsible for naming the section of fans in Cleveland known as the Dawg Pound.

Compares to (Current NFL Player): Asante Samuel

Strengths
- Great Zone Corner, good size, solid speed
- Fluid hips, superb hands, hard hitter and willing tackler
- Experience return man, NFL pedigree

Weaknesses
- Little experience in man coverage
- Sometimes goes for big hit and misses tackles
- Deep speed is suspect
- Not the most technically sound - will give up easy catches
