Morris Claiborne exploded onto the scene as a sophomore, leading the LSU defense with five interceptions, and followed up that season with six interceptions this year. Claiborne is a much better cover corner than former teammate Patrick Peterson, the fifth overall selection in last year's draft. In addition, Claiborne is a former WR and has the best ball skills of all the CBs in this class. Also played QB in high school and uses that knowledge and background to read and react extremely well. Claiborne has no injury history or character concerns.

Compares to (Current NFL Player): Charles Woodson

Strengths
- Good size and length
- Above average athleticism
- Fluid hips, great in transition
- Outstanding ball skills with great hands and leaping ability
- Great in man coverage
- Good jam at the line of scrimmage, able to re-direct receivers well
- Accelerates quickly out of his backpedal and can run with anyone
- Great instincts
- Willing run supporter
- Good closing speed

Weaknesses
- Little to no experience in zone coverage
- Gets caught off balance by receivers that can match his physicality
- Whiffs on tackles a little more than you'd like
- Willing run supporter should not be confused with good run supporter
- Could stand to gain some weight, particularly in the upper body
- Struggles with smaller, quicker WRs if he fails to get his hands on them
