Draft Tek Classic Mock Drafts
What's the difference between the "Consensus Mock Draft" and "Classic" Mock Drafts ?

Draft Tek is known for their computer generated draft. Our primary product is the "Consensus" mock draft because we utilize some two dozen team analysts to provide input to our model.
A "classic" mock draft is what you see elsewhere on the web. One guy draws upon his knowledge and research of the NFL and NCAA to produce his own mock draft. Only a football uberfan can attempt such an undertaking. Suffice it to say, the Drafttek staff is populated with several such football genies. And two of them have generously offered to produce their best cuts at how the 2009 NFL Draft plays out

About Mike's Mock
Michael Schottey is an NFL analyst for Draft Tek, responsible for setting team needs for the Lions, Packers and Chargers. He draws on his extensive expertise to prepare his unique view on how the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft will play out.

1) Detroit Lions (0-16) Aaron Curry (LB Wake Forest)
Things in Motown are setting up for one of two distinct possibilities either a) The Lions are fine with Daunte Culpepper in another year-long stint at QB or b) The Lions already know they are taking Matt Stafford. I personally continue to believe it is the former. Not because I believe Culpepper is any good. Simply because I believe the Lions will take the best overall prospect AND the player who is willing to sign before the draft. Curry is both of those. He is, without a doubt, one of the most special LB prospects in a long time and Coach Jim Schwartz has spoken glowingly about his athleticism, instincts and versatility.
