Demaryius Thomas Georgia Tech WRP Reach (-2) |
San Francisco Although Singletary recently named Josh Morgan the starter for the '10 Season, Thomas would be a "cannot pass on" player at 49. The former Yellow Jacket would give Morgan a run for his money and possibly his position as the number two receiver. Either way, the Niners would have a fierce and "f"ysical wide receiving corp with Crabtree, Thomas, and Morgan - Drew Kerr Drafttek 49ers Analyst |

Chad Jones LSU SS Reach (-6) |
Kansas City Chad is still learning and growing. He has all the athletic skills to be a fine strong safety - Merlin DT Chiefs Analyst |

Kyle Wilson Boise State CB Value (+16) |
Houston Value, value, value - the fast, aggressive Bronco CB falls to Houston at a position of need, since they lost Dunta Robinson. Wilson immediately upgrades the Texan defensive backfield, as New Orleans proved in the Super Bowl that coverage is as important as pass-rush when defending Peyton Manning (as the Texans must do twice a year)! - Long Ball, DOF |
| 52 | ![]() |
Terrence Cody Alabama DT34 Reach (-7) |
Pittsburgh You could speculate that the Steelers won't take the risk on Cody but there's no real evidence to support that theory. Cody has been a monster in some games and has been a non-factor in others. The team has Hampton re-signed so they could potentially gamble on Cody developing into a standout NT. Then again they could take Cam Thomas as a more conservative pick - Patrick (Drafttek Steelers Analyst) |

Taylor Price Ohio WRF Reach (-10) |
New England Six WRs go in the first 48 picks leaving New England scrambling to fill a need, something I doubt they'll do come draft day. Price, like Misi, is a borderline 2nd/3rd round selection who has been climbing draft boards since the Senior Bowl. He reminds many of Johnny Knox, a lone bright spot in Chicago in 2009. Price's size (6-1, 204) and speed (4.41s forty) make him an intriguing selection for teams in need of a young developmental WR, like the Patriots. - Joe Mays, Draft Tek Analyst |

| 54 | ![]() |
Dexter McCluster Mississippi WRS Value (+7) |
Cincinnati McCluster has taken a little heat since the combine but hands-down he is playmaker on the field. McCluster would bring an element that the Bengals currently don't have. I see him used in the same way the Vikings deployed Harvin this past season. Derek Rose- Bengals Analyst |
|
| 55 | ![]() |
Chris Cook Virginia CB Reach (-6) |
Philadelphia Sheldon Brown could be a draft day trade ala Lito Shepperd. Ellis Hobbs might not be the same after his neck surgery, and not to be left out is Joselio Hanson (aka "Mr. I go burned when it counted"). During his combine work out Cris Cook showed press corner skills with good movement in all drills. He possesses the size needed to defend the tall WR's in the NFC East - Scott Mesquita (Drafttek Eagles Analyst) |
|
| 56 | ![]() |
Brandon Ghee Wake Forest CB Reach (-13) |
Green Bay Ghee has the size and speed the Packers covet at the cornerback position. A physical corner and great leaper, Ghee can play zone or man coverage. His technique and footwork are sometimes lacking, which results in Ghee being somewhat inconsistent. With the right coaching, Ghee could develop into a very good corner in the league - Al Bracco (Drafttek Packers Analyst) |

Devin McCourty Rutgers CB Value (+15) |
Baltimore Despite the run on cornerbacks, the Ravens would get great value in a position of need. McCourty would help to provide depth to a defensive secondary that either got torched or penalized on a regular basis in 2009. His size may be a bit of a concern (under 6 feet), but his coverage skills are sorely needed. As a bonus, McCourty would serve to upgrade the special teams unit which would make Coach Harbaugh, a former special teams coach, smile.- Bryan Chen, DraftTek Ravens Analyst |
|
| 58 | ![]() |
Dominique Franks Oklahoma CB Value (+14) |
Arizona The Cardinals moved fast to replace Rolle with Rhodes at the FS position - so now they can fill in their defensive backfield with young, fast CB's. Franks provides a "2 for 1" value at this selection, as he has excellent return capabilities to add to an already improving special teams unit. - Long Ball, DOF |
|
| 59 | ![]() |
Rodger Saffold Indiana OT Reach (-1) |
Dallas The rebuilding of the Cowboy OL continues, as all of their starters are over 30. Saffold followed up an excellent performance at the Senior Bowl with a strong Combine and is excellent value in the 2nd round. He and Doug Free should be the starting OT tandem of the future, with Pouncey at OC and Brewster at LG - Long Ball, DOF |
|
| 60 | ![]() |
Ryan Mathews Fresno State RBF Value (+23) |
San Diego Honestly, I would anticipate the Chargers potentially taking Matthews in the 1st round, but they will be more than happy to take him in the second! Replacing LT is no easy feat but, with Sproles suddenly returning, Matthews would have some help. With Matthews in the fold, the Chargers offence might be even scarier in 2010 - Brett Stott (Drafttek Chargers Analyst) |
|
| 61 | ![]() |
John Jerry Mississippi OG Reach (-3) |
NY Jets Peria's little brother will bolster the Jets OL. In the event of injury to a keystarter, Jerry will step right in and keep Greene/Washington gashing out big gains. - Drafttek Staff |
|
| 62 | ![]() |
Kareem Jackson Alabama CB Value (+12) |
Minnesota Excellent value and excellent fit for the Cover-2. Jackson has a great combination of speed and tackling ability. With Benny Sapp and Karl Paymah both looking elsewhere, Jackson would theoretically start the year as the Vikings nickel corner. - Brett Stott (Drafttek Vikings Analyst) |
|
| 63 | ![]() |
Brian Price UCLA DT43 Value (+27) |
Indianapolis Brian Price drops to the Colts at #63? Hmmmm, I don't think so. But just for arguments sake, let's say it went down like this. Price, along with last year's rookie Fili Moala would be a great addition of youth and size to Indy's DL. However, the Colts will have to say "Adios" to one of the other DT's on the current roster. Dan Muir would be safe, so the battle for the 4th DT spot would be downright interesting - Rick McGlothlin (Drafttek Colts Analyst) |
|
| 64 | ![]() |
Navorro Bowman Penn State OLB43 Value (+21) |
New Orleans With Scott Fujita now in Cleveland and Shanle growing extremely long in the tooth, Bowman will be a welcome addition to the Saints in 2010. Heck, ANY linebacker will be a welcomed addition for Vilma and that defense. Bowman brings his natural instincts, recognition of offensive sets and tendencies as well as exceptional football speed on the field. Little over-aggresive on the play action fakes, but otherwise a solid defender and could be a great blitz LB for the Saints - Rick McGlothlin (Drafttek Saints Analyst) |
|
2nd Round Traded Selections: *42) Tampa Bay gets Chicago 2nd rounder (compensation for Gaines Adams) *44) New England gets Jacksonville 2nd rounder (used to select Derek Cox in the 2009 draft) *47) New England gets Tennessee 2nd rounder (used to select TE Jared Cook in the 2009 draft) *51) Kansas City gets Atlanta 2nd rounder (Tony Gonzalez compensation) |
