CHI g NYG (Draft trade)
Wow, well done Ryan Pace. Decisive action was needed in Chicago and that's what was delivered. As Fields slipped further, the opportunity to grab him could not be passed on. A trade with the Giants that gives a RD1 pick in 2022, as well as a 5th this year, and a 4th in 2022, is a small price to pay to get the future of the franchise.
Justin Fields is the hope that this organization needs. After an offseason where Andy Dalton appeared to be the future, Bears' fans can breathe a sigh of relief tonight. Fields does everything well, but could benefit from sitting a while in his rookie year. Whatever is thought about Dalton, he will be a good mentor to the former Ohio State man. Eventually, Fields will give the Bears a dynamic offense to pair with their awesome defense.

CHI g CAR (Draft Trade)
Another excellent move from the Bears and Ryan Pace. After securing their franchise QB in RD1, the Bears trade up again to help fortify the O-Line. Teven Jenkins was undoubtedly one of the highest-graded OTs on the board as we entered Day 2, and Pace had to have him.
Jenkins' best fit, certainly in his rookie year, is going to be at Right Tackle. The former Oklahoma State man has the versatility to play on the left side or even move inside to OG, if needed. Jenkins is a strong, aggressive player who finishes blocks with a nasty demeanor.

BEARS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
