With the sturm und drang of the COVID pandemic, the opt-outs, delays and question marks, it is possible to lose sight of the obvious. So let's review a few facts. Miami's Greg Rousseau is a hardworking kid who had the Type A determination to graduate high school early by completing a full year's work in one semester, while practicing daily. He played safety and wideout in high school, then converted to rush end after studying former Niners star Manny Lawson.
His one year as a starter resulted in 15.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss. At 6-foot-7 and 260 he will likely run faster than 4.7 in the 40. That is Julius Peppers / Mario Williams territory, folks. Yes Rousseau has only had one big year and sat out 2020. The Chargers need an end and this would be a rock-solid addition to a solid LA roster at 13.

It is true that the Chargers need to beef up their offensive line with young talent to support QB Justin Herbert. It's certainly a priority. And then there's Kadarius Toney. The "Human Joystick" out of Florida brings a quick-twitch dimension that might well win Herbert's approval to wait a round on OL help. Toney brings an electricity missing in all but the most athletic NFL offenses currently and would fatten up the Bolts' playbook of jet sweeps, bubble screens and quick slants immediately.

CHARGERS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
