Warmer weather is approaching, Chiefs fans, and player jerseys are hanging on the line in hopes that winds will bring a change of scenery and salary. There are some very interesting names floating in the breeze. I like the options on the defensive side. Perhaps we will see a return of Justin Houston?
There has been much commotion about the carousel of the free agents lining up behind Center. Lost in all that chatter is the fact that several teams will also look to make alterations at Center. Austin Reiter is listed as the most underrated anchor by PFF. Yet Creed Humphrey would be a significant upgrade as a run blocker and pass protector. Humphrey did not allow a sack through his three seasons at Oklahoma.

The Chiefs continue to meet with Brevin Jordan, the top offensive threat for the Hurricanes in 2019. Like Travis Kelce, he is a sure-handed, playmaking TE who could work as a versatile chess piece on the Chiefs' offense. He can line up in-line, in the slot, split out wide, or as a receiving threat in the backfield.
GM Brett Veach mentioned a need for a second TE threat when he spoke Monday addressing various topics -- the Free Agency period, player-health updates, and positional depth in the draft. A Kelce/Jordan combo could be most dynamic TE duo in the league.

CHIEFS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
