Cosmi to the Colts. The Texas Longhorns haven't had an offensive lineman drafted in the first round in 19 years, since Mike Williams went fourth-overall to the Buffalo Bills in the 2002 NFL Draft. Cosmi was ranked as the best returning OT in the Big 12, despite being a bright candle in the dark cave on the Texas line. I remember Cosmi starting out as the 2nd-overall OT on DraftTek's first Positional Rankings Board.
Why take OT first?
DraftTek Analysts have weighed in that OT will be the position in highest demand this year, so get while the getting's good. While Cosmi neeeds to build play strength and move his feet vs speed rushers, he's garnered serious attention in NFL war rooms.

The Colts need to come out of FA and the draft with plenty of O-Line help to supplant Costonzo, a speedy WR (T.Y. Hilton), and a more explosive pass rusher (Justin Houston). Another target at TE, where the Colts rank 27th, wouldn't hurt. Carman (just selected) and the next OT, Eichenberg, will get Zoom interviews; if they don't, they might be looking at RD1 for their Tackle.
The Colts continue to augment Wentz' protection here with the draft's fastest big man, who could post a 5.1 forty at his Pro Day March 17. He also intends to set the record for the bench press. Patrick Jones II would be the best EDGE here, and Pat "Baby Gronk" Freiermuth and the speedy Brevin Jordan are the best options at TE.

COLTS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
