There are no pre-season games, hardly any tackling in practice, yet once again the Eagles are beset with injuries with less than two weeks before their first game. Flag football has more contact than the Eagles have experienced in this COVID-era training camp, yet they've already lost two of their five starting O-Linemen...including RG Brandon Brooks (who may be the best guard in football). Luckily, the Eagles' first game is against the newly-dubbed Washington Football Team, a team that is making the Patriots look like a scandal-free group of rule-abiding choir boys. On the flip side, the one area of strength on the W.F.T. (their D-Line) could be primed to take advantage of the Eagles' injured O-Line.

The Eagles' O-Line (considered by most to be a Top 5 unit in the NFL as recent as last year) has in the span of a few months become its biggest area of concern. Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Brandon Brooks are all on the wrong side of 30...and Brooks has now has had multiple seasons end with injury, this one before it even started. Jason Peters is nearly on the wrong side of 70, but the Eagles are going to have to hope and pray he can somehow have one last reasonably-healthy season, or else Carson Wentz is going to suffer.

ZDespite going on for two paragraphs on the O-Line woes, in this CMD I have the Eagles selecting DE Jayson Oweh. Oweh is a guy that is more potential than production...but boy, does he ooze potential. Had he had the benefit of a 2020 season to put on tape, he could have been one of those guys that rose up the Draft Board and ended up going in the Top 10. Edge Rusher is the pick here due to positional importance, the ever-present need for pass rushers in the Eagles' defensive scheme, but mostly because this selection was made prior to the Eagles' starting Left O-Tackle going down for the season this past week.

EAGLES HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS

Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.
Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".

Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
