As I watched this RD1 unfold, I was struck with this thought: Howie Roseman read this Draft perfectly when he traded back to 12 for an extra 2022 RD1 pick. With Pitts, Chase and Zach Wilson gone, the next 10 players or so were very similar on my board.
End the end, Roseman got the guy most Eagle fans wanted at Pick Six: Heisman Trophy winner and 'Bama WR Devonta Smith. It took a RD3 pick to leapfrog (screw over) the Giants, but that's OK: they turned the sixth pick and a RD3 pick, into Devonta Smith and a 2022 RD1 pick.
Grade: A+ (when trade is factored in).

Philadelphia trades up for the best center in the draft. The Eagles may be thinking about him as an OG with Kelce already manning the C position. Wherever Dickerson ends up playing, he will be a solid presence on the offensive line and should make Jalen Hurts' sophomore season a little easier.

EAGLES HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
