There really is no doubt about the biggest question mark hanging over the Jets this off-season: the QB position. The way I see it is they have 3 options: 1) Trade for an established QB like Watson, 2) Continue with Sam Darnold, or 3) Draft a Rookie.
Reports from MetLife suggest the new regime will explore all options at their disposal before making any decision. Trading for Watson seem like the popular choice amongst Jet fans, for obvious reasons, and in our last CMD, we had the opportunity to see how our draft could look after a trade for him. I can't really see this new regime pinning their colors to the Darnold mast, considering what he has shown in his first 3 years, so if a trade fails to materialize, the next most likely option is Zack Wilson.

While the options from a prospect perspective seem few and far between with our first pick, things open up for us here at #23. CB Asante Samuel Jr, and WR Rashod Bateman look very tempting here, but I'm going to add some more O-Line help and nab the top Guard on our Big Board, Wyatt Davis.
Joe Douglas invested heavily in the O-Line last year, and while there was some improvement, the interior still appears a big weakness. Wyatt is the Grandson of Former Green Bay Packers' DE and Hall of Famer, Willie Davis, and represents great value here. He can do it all and would be a nice addition to help keep the unit moving in the right direction. With Davis and Becton, the Jets would have 2 young guys that could hopefully become foundation pieces for the next decade. What Jet fan wouldn't sign up for that?

The Jets have had more Logo changes in the last 30 years then they have had Pass Rushers. The dominant days of Klecko and Gastineau are a distant memory but if new HC Robert Salah wants to get his side of the ball working better as a unit, finding a way to pressure opposition QB's is a must. There is still some hope for last years' RD 3 pick Zuniga but with Jordan Jenkins hitting Free Agency, the need for a replacement makes the pick of Joseph Ossai here, a very sensible one.

JETS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
