With the 8th-overall pick, the Carolina Panthers select, Jaycee Horn, CB South Carolina!
Jaycee Horn is a prototype CB prospect who is dominant in press-man coverage and projects to be a Day 1 starter as an outside corner! Horn is an aggressive ball-hawk who does a tremendous job locating the football in the air in contested catch situations and is incredibly diligent in reading the eyes of the QB. Jaycee uses his 33"-inch arms to jam receivers at the line and is able to stay in phase against even the most shifty WR's.
It has long been rumored that Carolina has been looking to upgrade its defensive backfield through the draft. They do so with my #1 CB prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft!

CAR g CLE (draft Trade)
With the 59 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select, Terrence Marshall, WR LSU!
Terrence Marshall will be reunited with former LSU passing game coordinator and current Panthers' OC, Joe Brady to add another dynamic playmaker to the Panthers' receiving core! Marshall is a nightmare matchup from the slot and is a perfect replacement for the loss of Curtis Samuel in Free Agency!

CAR g PHI (Draft Trade)
With the 70th in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select Brady Christensen, OT, BYU!
Christensen is an athletic OT prospect from BYU with great length and strength in his arms. He drops a heavy anchor, but probably needs to bulk up to maintain against NFL edge rushers. He's on the old side.

PANTHERS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
