The NFL has many dysfunctional teams and 2020 has been a wholly dysfunctional season. The Ravens are one of the few annually competent organizations, but they're not dealing with dysfunction very well. Isn't it odd that the dysfunctional teams deal with dysfunction functionally -try saying that after a few beers. COVID has ravaged the Ravens and may ultimately define their season. A delayed loss to the division-leading Steelers was inevitable with so many players unavailable. However, let's not lose sight of the fact that the 2020 Ravens weren't playing well even before the virus hit hard.

Entering 2020, the Ravens were a lot of fans' picks to win SBLV. The losses have been tough, but losing to the Chiefs, Steelers, Patriots, and Titans is far from shameful. Prior to the latest loss, the shortfalls on offense had been the most concerning. The inability to expand the passing game is the biggest problem. After 10 games, Baltimore ranked 31st in passing yards per game. Lamar and the coaching staff have to take blame in equal measure. It's not all doom and gloom though; would anyone be truly surprised if the Ravens made the playoffs and won the big game? Remaining games vs the Cowboys, Jags, Giants, and Bengals suggest a 10-win season is well within reach. That, of course, is on the assumption that Coach Harbaugh will have his preferred starters available throughout.

Productive passing attacks need productive receivers. Hollywood has looked more like Inglewood this season; Snead, Boykin, and Duvernay don't cut it as #1 guys. The 2021 WR draft class is, once again, stacked with talent. Lamar has to improve as a passer, but there's no doubt a receiver like Rashod Bateman would help. The alternative here is to go Interior O-Line. There are certainly worthy prospects at OG and OC, but these are positions that can be addressed adequately on Day 2.

RAVENS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS

Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.
Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".

Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
