Washington found themselves in a tough spot; they missed out on their QB (Justin Fields) and didn't have a blue-chip player remaining to either select or dangle as bait for a trade-down opportunity. Jamin Davis was a late-riser and has all the ability you look for in a do-it-all linebacker, but I feel like he would've been available down the board. If Ron Rivera can turn Davis into his Luke Kuechly 2.0, this pick is a home run. If he ends up being a just solid weak-side linebacker, Washington fans will be underwhelmed by this selection. A trade-down and a selection of Davis would've been far more appetizing in my eyes. While not necessarily a fault of their own, this pick is somewhat underwhelming for a team that seems to have done everything right this offseason thus far.

With the 51st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Washington Football Team select, Samuel Cosmi, OT Texas!
Samuel is a fast-moving big man who is in violent mover on the second level! He's very athletic and plays with a real sense of aggression. He might need to bulk up but this shouldn't be a problem once he starts an NFL strength and conditioning program! Great value!

I was impressed with the play of St. Juste. The more I researched, the more I liked him. St. Juste had to learn a new playbook in 3 weeks for the 2019 season, and he excelled, putting up 10 PBU --#3 in the Big Ten. Smart is what smart does, and this Academic All Big Ten, grad transfer humbly talks about it here. After earning his bachelor's, Benjamin went from cold Michigan to even colder Minnesota, where he earned his Master's in sports management. I've heard Darrelle Revis skills in a Richard Sherman body.

With the 82nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Washington Football Team selects, Dyami Brown, WR UNC!
Brown is an elite slot receiver and was the most dominant receiving weapon for the Tar Heels last season! Brown ran a 4.43 forty-yard dash at his Pro Day and gives me flashes of Justin Jefferson!

WASHINGTON HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
