Simulated Trade: Giants trade pick #11 and pick #194 to Washington for picks #19, #74 and #82
While it has been reported that Alex Smith's comments in GQ were not supposed to be disparaging to the organization, it seems that the 36-year-old has played his last down in Burgundy and Gold. Considering the fact this team has two unproven, undrafted players at QB and the fact that Washington has been in on every quarterback that has become (or even been mentioned as possibly becoming) available so far this offseason, all signs point to a big move in the next two months.

If Rivera hasn't landed his man via trade before the Draft, I expect a big move in RD1 to get their guy. Trey Lance might need to sit and learn the speed of the NFL game, but he has set his own protections exclusively in college, so he will actually be ahead of where most expect him to be as a rookie.

Assuming CB Ronald Darby doesn't re-sign in Washington, the franchise will need to find a third starter at the position in the Draft. While Darby had a steady season in the Burgundy & Gold, his health cannot be trusted --and he may fetch more than Ron Rivera is willing to pay him on the open market.
Tyson Campbell is a long corner (6'2") who thrives in press and projects as a playmaker in a zone scheme. He would fit in perfectly in this defense and might allow Kendall Fuller to move back inside where he has demonstrated elite play as a nickel.

WASHINGTON HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
