While Tyler Smith has tempting upside, the Cowboys had their heart set on an offensive lineman and simply reached. I'm sure they tried to move down, but if you can't find value with the pick. This isn't it. I have my doubts about him playing tackle, and believe his best position is guard, once he takes a significant step with his development. If he plays as a rookie, expect the Cowboys to lead the NFL in penalties, which was a possibility without him. Grade C-

After reaching on an offensive lineman in the first round, I'm glad to see I had this pick right over the last month or so. Williams has impressive burst (1.6 10-yard split, 36 VJ), and he put up insane numbers (12.5 sacks, 15 TFL) in the SEC last year, despite playing out of position a good portion of the time.
Dan Quinn will love pairing him with Micah Parsons coming off the edge. Pick suggests the Cowboys got the answers they wanted about an off-field issue, especially with Kelvin Joseph's future in jeopardy. Grade: B+

Tolbert has a lot of same strengths as Michael Gallup -- a guy with smooth athleticism that thrives in 50-50 situations. The Cowboys don't take a lot of deep shots, but when they do, it's typically on the perimeter in one-on-one scenarios that are sniffed out pre-snap.
Having these two on each side with Lamb wreaking havoc from the slot is an ideal situation for Dallas, and I thought Tolbert would come off the board in round two. Grade: A
