The Giants add to their pass-rush needs with Kayvon Thibodeaux at #5. With all the top OTs still on the board, GM Joe Shoen picks the top edge rusher still on the board.
It's been a long time since the Giants have had a truly elite edge defender for the defense, after having tried to get by on a slew on Day 2 picks in previous drafts. Shoen and HC borrow from their Buffalo playbook by building up the defensive line.

After taking Thibodeaux at No. 5, New York knew that they'd have a chance to improve the offensive line with either Ikey Ekwonu or Evan Neal still on the board. Neal has a chance to be a stalwart on the Giants' line for years to come. Measuring in at 6'7" and 337 pounds, Neal topped the Bruce Feldman Freaks List and finished the year ranked second overall on our Big Board. With the power to dominate the run game and the athleticism to excel in pass protection, Neal will do wonders for this Giants' offensive line.

2022 Draft trade
Wide receiver is a bit of a surprise, but Wan'Dale Robinson ranks in the 95th percentile for Breakout Age and 99th percentile for Target Share. Last season Robinson posted 104 catches for 1,342 yards and 7 TDs with an impressive 3.56 yards/route run. With Kadarius Toney and Darius Slayton potentially on the trading block, GM Joe Schoen could be facilitating more moves at the WR position.

After grabbing high-end Evan Neal, Giants continue to build up their offensive line with Joshua Ezeudu. Ezeudu is an elite athlete with the versatility to play both guard and tackle.
Ezeudu, who was credited with giving up just two sacks over the past three seasons, will need to clean up his technique but has starting caliber traits.

NYG g MIA (2021 Draft trade)
The Giants check off another of our top-priority needs with CB Cordale Flott. Flott allowed a passer rating of 73.3 last season with a completion percentage of just 51.1%. Still just 20 years old, Flott pairs above-average athletic traits with inside-outside flexibility. Despite being a bit of a reach, Flott’s versatility and physical play style will be a welcome addition to the Giants’ secondary.

GIANTS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
