With one of the weakest OL units in the NFL - the sole detraction from an otherwise lethal looking offense - it has long looked likely that the team would give strong consideration to the group when they finally picked late on Day 2. It's a little surprising that Parham, a Guard or Center, was the selection over a RT - and honestly I was hoping that Nakobe Dean might fall just a bit farther (and, I was intrigued by the possibility of Malik Willis as QB2).
This doesn't feel like a reach, but it does set up a potential logjam/intense competition for the two guard spots.The team did pick up an extra 5th rounder for trading down as the Raiders seek to add depth on Day 3.
