The Houston Texans have already told the world they were not happy with their CB play in 2021. GM Nick Caserio and the Texans front office decided to remedy this by drafting Derek Stingley Jr. out of LSU with their 3rd overall pick!
Derek Stingley Jr. is about as smooth of a CB prospect as you could ever hope for coming out of the draft! Derek has elite speed and fluid hips that allow him to mirror WRs step for step in and out of breaks while possessing a rare ball-hawking ability to intercept passes thrown at him. Stingley Jr.'s elite athleticism and rare ball skills make him a generational talent at CB!

The Houston Texans have a number of different holes to fill on the roster. GM Nick Caserio and Houston's front office decide to further solidify the trenches in front of Davis Mills by drafting Kenyon Green, OG out of Texas A&M!
Green is an experienced starter that has played multiple positions along the offensive for the Aggies. In fact, Green has played every position but center. Green has natural functional strength that he uses to become a true road grader in the run game. Offensive coordinators will find it beneficial to call run plays that follow directly behind Green's path. This is a fantastic pic for Houston as Green represents a date 1 starter for the Houston Texans!

Height:

Jalen Pitre is a senior CB for Baylor who has been receiving significant playing time for the Bears since his freshman year. Pitre aligned in multiple positions for the Bears' defense --Baylor had no qualms asking Jalen to play FS, SS, ILB, or OLB.
Pitre is best when he can play as a middle-of-the-field robber and use his natural instincts to lead him to the ball.

2022 Draft trade
Christian Harris is a three-year starter for the Crimson Tide defense, holding the job since he was a true freshman. Harris possesses a strong upper body and a built, powerful lower half. Combined with this frame, Harris is also an exceptional athlete who thrives at playing in space. Harris has the versatility to cover backs out of the backfield and run with TEs vertically up the seams. In the run game, he's a physically dominant presence that can lay the boom on ball-carriers!

TEXANS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
