CHI g NO t CHI (2022 Draft trade)
When it was announced that Georgia DT Jalen Carter would not be taking meeting with teams picking outside the top 10 the easy assumption was that he would get past Philadelphia at 10. As it turns out, Philly wasn't willing to wait even that long. They were able to trade up for Pick 9 to snag Carter, paying only a RD 4 pick in next year's draft to ensure they got their guy.
Carter, arguably the most talented defensive player in this draft class, and the Eagles are a perfect match as Philly gets a game wrecker on the interior to help replace Javon Hargrave's production and Carter is reunited with former Georgia teammate and mentor Jordan Davis. That partnership should quell questions about his passion for the game and any off-field issues. With Carter and Davis reunited and Nakobe Dean behind them the Eagles Defense remains a force to be reckoned with.

CHI g BAL (R Smith)
After addressing the offensive line in RD1, the Bears turn to the defensive line in RD2. Gervon Dexter is an intriguing prospect who is incredibly athletic for a 310 lb man. Dexter won't wow anyone with statistical production and he needs to improve drastically on his reaction to the snap. This could be a reach, but definitely fills a need.

CHI g JAX (Draft Trade)
The Bears trade up to grab Miami's Tyrique Stevenson. Even though corner wasn't a huge need, Stevenson should replace Kindle Vildor on the outside opposite Jaylon Johnson. The former Hurricane is a good size/speed/strength prospect who should excel as a press corner. Chicago's secondary could be much improved in 2023.

Zacch Pickens is the newest member of the Chicago Bears as they take a third consecutive defensive player. Pickens is a former top-10 recruit who has yet to fulfill his immense potential. If the South Carolina DT can improve his technique, and more regularly flash his athleticism, this could be a high-value pick.

BEARS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
