An unassuming Jets' offseason was disturbed by news of QB Zach Wilson's encounter with "Mrs. Robinson". But Wilson's response to the dustup led some fans to believe that the Jets have a Mormon Joe Willie Namath on their hands, a BYU grad who's more Jim McMahon than Steve Young. Nothing against Steve Young - a great QB - but fan's love a QB with swagger.
Wilson has looked sharp in training camp, bolstered by new offensive weapon's Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, but his success may be more in the hands of ROT Mekhi Becton, who has disappointed since his career began as the Jets' 2020 RD1 draftee. Becton was move to right side, with a more consistent George Fant taking over LOT, but word is he's much improved over his 2021 self, and that will be needed to keep Zach Wilson upright in 2022.
GM Joe Douglas moved back into RD1 in the 2022 Draft to select Jermaine Johnson to provide pass rush for the team that will face all the AFC's QB stars over the next 10 years. The Jets brought in Carl Lawson in 2021 to provide edge pressure, but Lawson spent the first season of his 3-year contract on IR with a ruptured Achilles tendon. A tough injury to rebound from, particularly for players dependent on speed and quickness. Here we're drafting Myles Murphy to supplement Lawson and JJ in 2023, taking over as a starter in 2024.

JETS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
