CAR g CHI (2023 Draft trade)
It's official, Bryce Young is a Carolina Panther!
It has been rumored for weeks now that the Panthers brass has been head over heels in love with Bryce Young, and it's not hard to see why. Bryce's accolades as a QB at the University of Alabama are truly legendary. Not only was he the 2021 Davey O'Brien award winner, but Young has also won a national championship and a Heisman Trophy while going 23-4 as a career starter for the Crimson Tide. Bryce can also lay claim to being the only Alabama QB to throw for over 3000 yards in two separate seasons while also setting the single season passing yards record for Alabama at 4872!
What makes this pick even more exciting is how perfectly Carolina is built to support a rookie QB like Bryce Young! The Panthers have spent the last three seasons putting young talented pieces throughout the roster. Bryce will need high-level tackle play and last year's first-round pick Ikem Ekwonu should quickly become Bryce's best friend keeping him clean in the pocket. Add on top a stout young defense moving to a 3-4 with a brand-new coaching staff that has 11 Super Bowl rings amongst them, and you have a PERFECT situation for Bryce Young to hit the ground running! A new era of Panthers football has OFFICIALLY begun!

The Carolina Panthers are not done adding talent to their WR core!Jonathan Mingo is a fast, physical WR prospect who will make the perfect complement for Bryce Young! Jonathan shows elite separation skills while also demonstrating top-tier YAC ability. Mingo has the ability to use his strength and quickness to play through DB's in press coverage and quickly get into his route. Once Mingo has the ball in his hands, he is a nightmare to tackle an open space due to his immense physical prowess.
A fantastic potential #1 WR option to help Bryce Young for the foreseeable future!

CAR g PIT (Draft Trade)
DJ Johnson has outstanding size and is an excellent overall athlete. Johnson lined up as a 3-4 OLB in Oregon's defense and was asked to do quite a bit in that role. As a pass rusher, Johnson flashes an explosive first step and can consistently win edges against opposing OT's. DJ pairs a quick-twitch get off with more than enough length to squeeze the pocket and make life really hard on the opposing QB. Though, he will need more refinement before he becomes a reliable threat for the Panthers defense.

PANTHERS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
