After trading up with the Buffalo Bills one spot, the Carolina Panthers select Xavier Leggette, WR from University of South Carolina!



Dan Morgan executes a masterful trade to move up one spot and pick up a 5th year option on a tremendous WR talent for Carolina. Xavier represents an exciting blend of speed and explosion as he was clocked hitting over 22 mph for the Gamecocks last year. He can be used in the backfield on jet sweeps and has opportunity to be used in a versatile fashion in Dave Canales' offense.

After trading down initially, the Panthers trade back up to grab Texas RB Jonathan Brooks!

Brooks is a versatile runner who can aggressively attack the A and B gaps or catch passes from out of the backfield. He has impressive wiggle for a back of his size and possesses a good change of direction for being over 200 POUNDS. This is a clear indictment on what new HC Dave Canales thinks of the Panthers RB room and also how intensely dedicated he is to running the football. Really good player but the value leaves wanting. Grade: C-
