The search for the new HC has begun and the Bears are leaving no stone unturned. An incredible number of interview requests have been made already. The thought is that an offensive-minded coach might be the best candidate and Ben Johnson, Todd Monken, and Joe Brady should all visit Chicago as soon as they can detach from their playoff-bound teams. However, defensive coaches such as Brian Flores, Aaron Glenn, and Mike Vrabel will be strongly considered.
We all thought the 2024 Bears' roster could challenge the rest of the NFC North for a crown, but it wasn't to be. Ok, Detroit, Minnesota, and Green Bay have been very good, but we got ahead of ourselves with Chicago. The positive news is that a strong coach will undoubtedly get improvements from this talented squad and, most importantly, from Caleb Williams.
At the moment, I'll predict best player available for Ryan Poles and the strategy for the 2025 Draft. The interior of the offensive line was the biggest issue all season and will need to be addressed as a priority in the offseason. Teven Jenkins is one of many free agents, but his play does not deserve a new contract. The defensive line also needs to be improved. Poles should also look to add more ofensive playmakers to help their franchise QB.

BEARS HISTORICAL DRAFT PICKS
Reach/Value (R/V) Explained
The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
