If the Jaguars were not one of the most backwater franchise in the NFL, their managerial/ownership drama might rival the heights achieved by the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets. Still, Urban Meyer provided much fodder for national sports media in his brief stint with the team. Then their was Tom Coughlin in his second stint with the Jags. His function as "Executive Vice President of Football Operations" created much, well, disfunction.
The team (not sure who exactly) fired HC Doug Pederson, while strangely retaining GM Trent Baalke. However owner Khan will consider dumping Baalke if a prospective HC were to provide a good reason!?!
Personally I can think of several good reasons, primarily around drafting and developing talent. Then there are the pro-bowl contracts that he's been doling out to not Pro-Bowl players. Case in point, CB Tyson Campbell. Campbell is the 9th highest paid corner in the NFL ($19M per annum), this largesse awarded after a 2023 season where Campbell posted a 56.4 PFF coverage grade and 127.4 passer rating against. In the 2024 season, Campbell "improved" to 63.9 and 109.7, respectively.
However, if Campbell can somehow play to his salary in 2025, and is paired with Michigan lockdown CB Will Johnson, things will definitely be looking up for the defense.

The difference between where a player is selected in the NFL draft versus where the player was listed on the final Drafttek Big Board for the season in question.Example: A player who was listed at #50 on the Big Board and was selected at #35 will be a "Reach" of -15. Alternately, a player listed at #35 on the Big Board who was selected at #50 is a +15 "Value".
Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
