Here were my honest predictions for Washington from a text message with my buddies as Week 1 began (and I prefaced this as my optimistic take): 7-10 record, defense becomes dominant, Jayden shows enough with bumps along the way, pick 13th in the Draft.
Who would've thought I would be so wrong about ALL of that!?
I'm clearly most surprised about Jayden Daniels being the clear Rookie of the Year (and he should be talked about more for being top-5 in the MVP race) and the 'Skins ending up with twelve wins for the first time since 1991. I mean, sure, Jayden may have thrown a whopping seven touchdown passes in the final minute games this season (5 as game-winning scores), but twelve wins!? WOW!
All of the talk about Culture when Ron Rivera was here was clearly just that; talk. How Dan Quinn isn't garnering more attention for Coach of the Year is beyond me, but he has made talk about culture far more than just talk-this team is a family that plays for each other and a 23 year-old rookie is leading the way.
The defense and shaky offensive line might not offer much promise for the playoffs this year, but a veritable treasure chest of cap room and a bevy of draft picks collected by Adam Peters set Washington up pretty nicely for 2025 and beyond.

Simply put: a positive number is a Value pick, a negative number is a Reach.
