2023 NFL Mock Draft

Selection Comment - Pick #14

Return to Mock Draft

New England
Jordan Addison

In 2022, New England will be trotting out a receiver group of DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, Jakobi Meyers, Nelson Agholor and Tyquan Thornton. While that's nowhere near as dire a situation as some other teams around the league (ahem, Bears), it certainly doesn't provide a developing Mac Jones with an embarrassment of riches.

In fact, though Jones seems to have found a nice connection with Parker, and Thornton has been lighting it up in the early days of camp, some reports out of camp see the offense struggling, particularly in the red zone.

With Jaxon Smith-Nijba heading to Chicago at pick 3 and Kayshon Boutte getting sniped at 13 by Houston in this early mock draft, Jordan Addison, who made waves this summer when he transferred from Pitt to USC, is the best receiver on the board and could infuse some immediate energy into New England's offense. While he's not a towering receiver (6'0", 175) Addison is known for dominating at the catch point and producing highlight-reel grabs. Addison is also a willing blocker and led College Football with 12 TDs from the slot in 2021. It's almost like he's built for Bill Belichick.
