2023 NFL Mock Draft

Selection Comment - Pick #18

Return to Mock Draft

LA Chargers
Kelee Ringo
18

Georgia

CB

Despite an acclaimed roster and a rising young star QB, the Chargers are on the outside of the playoff chase looking in. A ton of injuries to starters is one large reason, which plays out in the data as the defense being near the bottom of the league in passing touchdowns allowed and first-down percentage by opposing passers. With big free agent acquisition J.C. Jackson sidelined long-term with a torn patella tendon, cornerback is at the top of the team's need list heading into the draft. Georgia's Kelee Ringo is an elite athlete with size who projects as an immediate contributor in the league.

At 6-2, 215 with legitimate track speed, Ringo has been starting on Georgia's generational defense since he arrived on campus. Pairing him with fellow athletic freak Derwin James would go a long way to solidifying the back end of the Bolts' D.
