2023 NFL Mock Draft

Selection Comment - Pick #24

Return to Mock Draft

Josh Downs

North Carolina

If you're the type of person who enjoys betting on football, you will currently find the Baltimore Ravens as one of the 5-6 most favored to be the AFC's representative in Super Bowl LVII. The Ravens, with Lamar Jackson fully fit and motivated, will have a shot, but I don't think I'll be rushing to gamble my hard-earned money on John Harbaugh's men just yet. Baltimore's 2021 season was significantly hampered by critical and untimely injuries. 2022 will surely bring more luck when it comes to injuries, but a number of those banged up last year remain on the PUP list.

The offense needs both J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards back and running hard. Despite the signing of Corey Clement, we should see Dobbins and Edwards reunited to, once again, thrive as one of the best RB combos in the league. Assuming he can replicate what we saw in 2020, Dobbins should prevail as the undoubted lead back. The Ravens will, as always, be competitive in 2022 but, to truly make the leap back into Super Bowl contention, Harbaugh needs to establish an underneath passing game. Yet again, The 2023 Draft will be full of speedy, dynamic receivers. Josh Downs will be one of the best and an exciting selection near the end of RD1.
