Pittsburgh
Isaiah Bond

Texas

WR

Going into this season this team had big questions around the front office's patch job following the self-inflicted loss of Diontae Johnson in the WR room. They drafted Roman Wilson, who has been injured all season, and made a mid-season addition of Mike Williams then barely let him see the field. Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin have been in the mix as starters while they really are better suited to backup roles.

The star in the room is the volatile George Pickens. He's shone brightly at points but many are concerned that the writing is already on the wall for the team's latest head-case at receiver as he makes the transition from star to supernova(explosion and not in a good way). They need to draft WR early and often.

Bond is a speed merchant who can start at the Z-position while working to run a more refined route tree. This year for the Longhorns, he caught 33 balls with an outstanding 16.1 yards per catch average. Entering the league, he won't be seen as the complete package but a potent deep threat is a great place to start a career. Mike Tomlin once said of rookie Mike Wallace that he's a one trick pony but it's a pretty good trick. The Steelers should have him on their board. As a speed guy, getting some combine numbers to back up the tape will be pretty important for him to stay in RD1.
