2025 NFL Mock Draft

Selection Comment - Pick #3

Return to Mock Draft

NY Giants
Carson Beck

If the Giants end up picking at #3 in the 2025 Draft, it could signal the end of the road for QB Daniel Jones. Heading into the 2024 season, Jones has accumulated just 62 touchdown passes against 40 interceptions over five seasons. His best year came in 2022, when he threw for 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, totaling 3,205 yards in 16 games. Despite this modest performance, GM Joe Schoen decided to award Jones a 4-year contract worth $40 million annually.

The team is confident that Jones will be ready to start Week 1 against Minnesota, with his knee sufficiently rehabbed. However, the Giants can no longer count on Saquon Barkley, who departed in free agency. He has been replaced by former Bill Devin Singletary and rookie Tyrone Tracy. Additionally, #4 overall draft pick Malik Nabers provides Jones with an elite pass-catching target for the first time in his career.

Questions remain about the offensive line. The depth chart still lists Evan Neal at right tackle, a position where he struggled in 2023, earning a low PFF grade of 39.8. The OL does not appear significantly improved for 2024, despite the additions of Jermaine Eluemunor and Jon Runyan in free agency. Eluemunor started 17 games at right tackle for the Raiders in 2023, yet Neal is still penciled in at RT.

Looking ahead to the 2025 Draft, if HC Brian Daboll can turn the Giants' fortunes around in 2024, defensive line and cornerback should be top targets based on the team's free agency outlook in 2025.
